The Devil's Key

INTRO

Hello! My name is bunderlai and I've had "make a game with Ren'Py" on my bucket list forever. So me and my friend Ms Morri (of msmorriillustrations.com) will be joining the NaNoReNo 26 to make a game! While we're both creators irl, this is our first attempt at making a game, so we're aiming for the philosophy "done, not perfect!"

THE STORY

Set in November 1930, the story follows Lukrecja, a young woman from a recently immigrated family that has lost everything. When she receives a letter about inheriting a mysterious house, with conditions, she truly can't refuse. She accepts the invitation to a formal dinner. There she meets her competitors. The game? Stay 12 hours in this haunted house and its yours. But, of course, things are hardly as they seem.

THE CHARACTERS

Lukrecja (name likely available to change) - a young woman trying to care for her younger brother in a world that seems increasingly unstable.

Mr. Faust - The host of the evenings entertainment.

Victor (Love Interest #1) - A charismatic man of means who you seem inexplicably drawn to, but who is also hiding dark secrets.

Natty (Love Interest #2) - A genderqueer flirt, late of of Harlem, NY, who seems to know more than she lets on.
