INTRO

Hello! My name is bunderlai and I had "make a game with Ren'Py" on my bucket list forever. So me and my friend Ms Morri (of msmorriillustrations.com) did it (!!!) and joined NaNoReNo26 to make a game! This is our project. While we're both creators IRL, this was our first attempt at making a game! We hope you enjoy playing it.

THE STORY

Set in November 1930, the story follows Lukrecja (Lucy), a young woman devastated by the 1929 Wall Street Crash. When she receives a letter about possibly inheriting the storied Banecroft Manor, she has no choice but to accept. At dinner, she meets her competitors. The game? Stay 12 hours in the haunted house and it’s yours. But, of course, things are hardly as they seem.

THE MAIN CHARACTERS

Lukrecja (Lucy) - a young woman trying to care for her younger brother in a world that seems increasingly unstable.
Mr. Faust - The host of the evening’s entertainment.
Victor (Love Interest #1) - A charismatic man of means who you seem inexplicably drawn to, but who is also hiding dark secrets. (ROUTE OUT NOW).
Natty (Love Interest #2) - A genderqueer flirt, late of Harlem, NY, who seems to know more than she lets on. (ROUTE OUT ON MAY 15, 2026).

TRIGGER WARNINGS

This game is a gothic haunted house story, so there are darker themes present throughout the story. In a separate post below, we’ve included a list of trigger warnings for those who want to see what the story includes ahead of time. Take care!

THE “VICTORIAN” HOUSE

This is a special PSA just for our history nerd friends. We know we say the house is a Victorian mansion. We know the house we show isn’t Victorian. We apologize for the inaccuracy. :D
